Marjan Ciglič was a photo-reporter from 1958-1998 with the daily Dnevnik and the weekly Nedeljski dnevnik, so that he followed various everyday events as part of his job. However, he was not just a photographer through his work, he also carried his camera with him because of his human breadth, wide vision and interest. So, over the course of forty years, he created more than three hundred thousand photos of life, work and events in Slovenia.
A particularity of Ciglič’s photographic opus is that he captured on film numerous simple people and apparently unimportant events from daily life, which official history did not record, so they are a valuable document of the time.
